Belem Park
Not far from the hotel was a park with beautiful old-growth native Brazilian trees in it |
It was a lovely and popular place, especially on Saturday evening. Christrmas was coming up, and so there were stars and angles, too. |
Let's call this one a Great Egret |
The somewhat upscale neighborhood, where the hotel was located, had a few modern shops, closed at this time of Saturday, a grand opening by the park, and a few mini-markets. Fruit stalls were around an old defunct graveyard. |
TUDO, newly opened department store that drew a lot of customers for the day. I went in, since I wanted to stay around this area for the evening. |
TUDO also had these trikes, three of them, that were crusing around together. Don't know how | she caught me, the camera never left my side. A sneak shot. They came from TUDO |
Across from the old graveyard, there was also this Jewish one. Between the French, Dutch, British, and Portugese, this was quite an international town. |
I even saw this Celtic cross in front of a church. |
No idea what happened here, but look at their ages. I'm sure there's a big story behind this |
